The Print: December 2024
Share
HI FRIENDS,
My kids get off for school holidays tomorrow (I am writing this the 19th of December) and we have our last party tonight in town with friends before everyone scatters off). I will be wearing the Long Aaron and my favourite gold sparkling heels and am ready for just one more late night before I am officially DONE and ready to retreat into the bubble of 24/7 kids and hosting and insanity that awaits me in the Portuguese countryside. I will be writing resolutions and finding time post Xmas to to reflect a bit. For now, this elf has got to get her as* in gear. I am wishing you all a happy, beautiful 2025 filled with love, health and inspiration.
HOW TO STYLE IT

Our friends over at the The Perfect really know how to thrift it. I have been on the look out for the perfect grey sweatshirt forever but my finds ( and stamina + attention) never crossed the finish line. Check out their excellent treasure trove of vintage here- they are fully stocked with all the classics a girl could need - L.L. bean totes, rugbies, vintage Lily.
Styled here with our Bolero Vest and hand printed Silk Scarf.
ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK
I might rename this column pancakes I love. I truly am a pancake FAN. Sweet, salty, savoury, I am in. Today, I highlight, the chilla (chickpea batter) pancake, that I discovered in India years ago. I like mine with lots of spice and a side of whatever chutney I can find. I use this simple recipe as as the starting block and add from here- last week it was a slice of lemon and some sautéed mustard greens that were the perfect accompaniment.
BEAUTY TIPS FROM GOA
BEAUTY TIPS FROM GOA
Last month I had the extreme pleasure and privilege to find myself on the most mind blowing photo shoot in a remote part of Northern Rajasthan. Varsha, our esteemed model, was the coolest- her poise, confidence, laugh- it all radiated beauty from within. We were transfixed. Loving yourself is number one she said, and here are a few other nature and Ayurvedic inspired tricks up her sleeve that will help:
Pre Hair Wash 1x Per Week: Douse hair in organic coconut oil, 2-3 hours before shampoo and conditioner. I can attest to this- natures Olaplex, truly!
Everyday Face Mask: 1 tablespoon of chickpea flower, 1 teaspoon organic Tumeric powder - either 2 tablespoons organic yogurt and or the juice of half a lemon depending on how sensitive your skin is (avoid the lemon and use raw honey instead) leave on half an hour on skin and then wash off. You will be glowing- trust.
Acne Mask: Boil an entire cup of methi seeds in water then let it sit over night. strain it then blend the soaked methi seeds and put it your face - good for acne. Then put the methi water put on your hair and leave for an hour - makes it super soft. You can also combine with rosemary water (same principal, boil the rosemary sticks in water for 20 mins). Make rosemary water - boil the leaves in water and then let it sit overnight.
Scalp Mask: Mash up-banana avocado and coconut oil - massage nicely on the scalp for an hour before you wash and condition.
