SZ in the Neighbourhood, Fall Edition

SZ styles her SZ at some of her favourite local spots all cozy and layered up for London fall.

 Lower Clapton Favourites

I’ve lived in East London for 7 years and we keep creeping further out- from Hackney Road, to Bethnal Green, to Lower Clapton. We are on the edge of East London right next to the Walthamstowe Marshes - brilliant for daily walks, bike rides and meditations. It is my daily escape- one of London’s best kept secrets. Like Hampstead Heath but more wild. I love seeing all the quirky house boats that adorn the canal- there is a real community vibe out there. I love to ride my bike out to the boat house café for a falafel wrap overlooking all the action.
Chatwsorth Road

Our Sunday market is a more toned town version of Broadway Market - fresh food and locals - the goodness of Broadway without the crowds.

I head to Jim's for the best breakfast, cheerful faces and Led Zepplin banging at all hours. Super cozy booths and great service.
Bernsteins is my go-to for a quick week day lunch or coffee with a friend. The house smoked fish plate is delicious as are their cakes and treats.

The Castle Cinema is a small, independent theatre with fresh popcorn and cold beers in a super unique space, doesn’t get much better than this.

Here’s my local - The Elderfield.
It’s perfect just the way it is - completely uncool locals boozer with grumpy bar men and people from every walk of life.
Stores I love -

Incredible greenery of every variety plus bio beauty and treatments - Botany is a little slice of California right in the middle of East London.

For luscious Moroccan rugs and quirky interiors - A New Tribe offers beautiful collection of ceramics and glasswares too. It's the perfect spot for that special gift for someone special.
